10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognising or honouring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

To provide personalised insights, your journal entries are transmitted to Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), the provider of the Claude AI model. Anthropic processes this content solely to generate your insights and does not use it to train its models or for any other purpose. Anthropic acts as a data processor on our behalf. 14. SENSITIVE NATURE OF JOURNAL CONTENT
WakeHero is designed for personal reflection. We recognise that your journal entries may contain deeply personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Although this content does not fall within legally defined special categories of sensitive data, we treat it with the highest standard of care. Your entry text is never used for advertising, never sold, and is accessible only to you and the systems required to deliver the app's core functionality.
15. INFERENCE AND THEME TRACKING
WakeHero analyses your writing over time to identify recurring themes and patterns. This analysis is used exclusively to generate insights displayed to you within the app. We do not use inferred information to build advertising profiles, make automated decisions about you, or share conclusions about you with any third party.
16. LOCAL DEVICE STORAGE
In addition to secure cloud storage, WakeHero stores a copy of your data locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This local copy exists to ensure the app functions reliably and responsively. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove the local copy, but your data remains safely stored in the cloud and will be restored when you sign back in.
